Ultrasonic Range Sensor

The Ultrasonic Range Sensor is a piggyback unit that is connected directly to the UPB bus. The required 40 Khz signals are generated by the unit. The returning echo signals are processed by the A/D converter of the UPB and converted into a signal that indicates the distance to one or more objects.

The unit works up to a distance of 3 meters and has a resolution of about 3 cm. In this configuration signals up to 10 hz may be processed.
